Thomas Buizel Poochyena: Ch.90

“Ladies and Gentlemen!!” the booming and joyous voice of Lucario called out to the massive cheering of the crowd and team that gathered together to be there, “Welcome so much to the annual crowning of the Rescue Team candidates. Here you will see the different and wonderful collections of the thirty-two teams who made it past these exams and were able to become your newly trustworthy and future protection.”

It was rather excited to be able to be announced as a new rescue team member. Standing by my brothers, I smiled in pride as Sasuke gently took my paw and rubbed it softly. I smiled as Naruto joined into snuggling my side and keeping his head into my side.

“I will call the names of the teams in no specific order. When their name is called,” Lucario explained by pointing with his paw to the front of the stage, “the team leader will come up for their set of official badges and certificate. The rest of the team will step up to the front and thus follow the team leader over to the left.”

It was a while before we were called. Our team was in the middle/last area of the teams. I watched as Lucario readied himself to start. He cleared his throat as everyone was excited to see who passed.

“All right, let us begin,” he said, “Team number 1: Team Mountain!”

I will not go into details of every team coming up, but I will go into what I thought of certain teams I knew going up. It was a while before any teams came up, and there would be a lot of celebrating and clapping with teams getting a bit of spotlight for their hard work.

“Team number 9: Tea Bui-Power!” Lucario said.

Draco then rushed up onto the stage and walked over to the strongest Pokémon to get his badges and certificate. Ryoshi led the jumping and over-excited Holt, who kept skipping and giggling, to the front and both stood proudly as the duo saw the leader walk down and they joined him at the left of the stage.

I was so pumped up to get our certificate. I couldn't wait to see what it looked like. And I was watching the teams go up soon as he kept going.

“Team number 12: Team C-12!”

Mia grinned as she stood proudly and puffed her chest proudly. Alyssa smiled as she went beside her and stood with a blush on her face, fixing her glasses. Austin walked up the stage with a cool demeanor and ended up taking the stuff with courage. He nodded to Lucario, as he walked off and C-12 joined the other teams.

“Team number 13: Team Lightgale!”

Marco smirked as he immediately was right to the podium in a snap of a finger. Zoey looked... um... well, can I be honest without all of you saying anything? She looked really beautiful. I loved how she had that smile that looked so cute and innocent. !!! UM, OKAY! Back to the others, Carter and Leroy were just grinning away proudly as soon, they joined.

I'm not also going to go into Team Meanies being announced after them. It just was so slimy... and cheesy how they acted so innocent and cruddy to look good. It kind of made me mad a bit how no one really knew how they acted. But our friends moved away from them when they walked over.

Waiting for us to be announced, I decided to look at the crowd and see if anyone we knew was there. Automatically looking to the front, I could see Auntie Kangaskhan and Uncle Raichu standing there with smiles, with the former crying in pride. I could tell they were here for Sasuke and Naruto, as they smiled in pride. Next to the uncle, was little Pyro, swaying back and forth while he was sitting down. It was cute watching him look at his brother with pride and grinning. He couldn't wait to see King, who was grinning and trying not to show tears. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Sorren hiding behind a building, watching with a timid and admiring smile of his older brother graduating.

Also, Caterpie and his mom were there as well. They were in the left middle part of everyone who came to see. Since Team Believers were his idols after his rescue, he was behind held by his mom so he could see us. And next to them was Elek and Arty. The woman smiling with confidence and Elek crossing his arms with happiness, they watched for us to be announced.

“Team number 20: Team Memory!”

Karine walked in front of the stage, smiling and crying a bit, as I noticed Batsu smiling at her. It seemed to bring joy to his face to see his girlfriend up there. Missy was running around in a circle around her, excited about what was going on until Denise went up the ramp and got their stuff. It went by more and more until soon it was the moment of truth.

Team number 28: Team Believers!”

Suddenly, a lot of cheering came out of the crowd, more than normal. It seemed to me that they were really looking forward to our team coming up. It was then that Sasuke nodded to us as he began walking up the stage. Then, Naruto nudged me to move as the others got in front of the stage. It was really amazing, for the experience to get to celebrate. I watched as the excitement of being noticed crept throughout my body. And Lucario was smiling proudly at his son, who couldn't stop smiling either. It was only a few minutes, but still, it was the greatest thing I ever accomplished... even though really... I didn't do anything...

Sasuke soon motioned to us that it was our turn's end and we all went to the side. Impatient were we as we all got to the badge case, Naruto jumped up and down.

“Come on, bro!” he said happily, “Open them! I want my badge!!”

“Okay, okay, hold on; let me open it, okay?” Sasuke chuckled.

“This is so freaking awesome, guys!” King said, grinning, “We actually passed these exams, and all those injuries were so worth it to get here!”

“Though, I could've done without mine...” I chuckled, joking..... partly.

“Still, those badges... I can't wait to put mine on now,” Zev said, actually enjoying the ability to put his on.

“Please, Sasuke, do hurry,” Batsu said, smiling.

“All right, here we go,” Sasuke said, opening up the boxes to reveal six badges in there for us.

It was as if we were peering down into gold itself and looking at a treasure to behold. We all were smiling so happily as he began handing us them. When I got mine, it was shiny and metal, despite it being so small. It was so cool though, to be able to hold it with the great satisfaction of actually passing it.

I watched as the other four teams finally got finished at the ceremony and Lucario cleared his throat.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, these 32 new teams are going to be your future rescuers; the ones you will be counting on to protect and serve you in the future. Please give me a hand one more time for them,” he said as he started clapping.

It was then everyone cheered, laughed, and celebrated in their own way for us new rescue teams to become official!

Later on, we all had gathered at the post office and were just so psyched about passing the exams. King and Naruto were the most excited, as the two couldn't shut their mouths about it.

“Oh, hell, yeah! We are so tough!!” King said loudly.

Naruto giggled, “We did it! We won! We are gonna be rescue team heroes!!”

“Seems you two are super hyped for this,” we heard a friendly voice say to us.

Turning to see Elek walking up to us, Sasuke turned and smiled, “Yes, Elek...!! I mean, sensei. It's gonna be so much fun to be able to train with you.”

“Haha, I'm sure it'll be a piece of cake, no matter what this guy throws at us,” King bragged as he grinned confidently, “If this exam was a walk in the park for us, we won't have any problem with whatever stuff he makes us go through.”

“Okay, calm down,” Elek said, trying to calm him down, “I'm not here to give you any survival exercises yet. It's time to celebrate. I have a table all set up for us at the BBQ Pit. Let's eat lunch so I can learn more about you.”

“Really!? I CAN HAVE PORK!!!” Naruto screamed in joy.

“Oh, no, it had to be there, didn't it?” Sasuke groaned.

“Well, come on, follow me,” Elek said, as the seven of us went to meet up with his wife for lunch at this BBQ Pit.
